Motivated by the desire to help and put his knowledge at the service of others, Dr. Carlos Orjuela from the University of Los Andes, volunteer angel of the Proyecto Unión foundation, leads a group of young students from the Faculty of Medicine and friends to be part of this great volunteer team and thus help improve the quality of life of the children of the Santa Rita de Cascia Home.
For 4 years Carlos has been volunteering at the home to give his love, donations and attention to the children. Their support had been crucial and that desire to help had now been multiplied by their initiative to form a group of angels to serve children. This group arrived with the flame burning of volunteers and decided to get involved, becoming part of this big family, actively participating in the different activities that are carried out daily for the benefit of 63 children with diseases that are difficult to manage.
We hope that these great initiatives will continue to grow so that every day more young people will join this great cause, so that together we can transform lives.
