Young students from Unihorizonte came to our foundation to carry out their social projection practice. Artistic activities such as painting murals in rooms, sensory stimulation and logistical support, such as folding children’s clothes, organizing donations are some of the things that the volunteers do during their practice hours, while sharing with the 62 children who are beneficiaries of the Santa Rita de Cascia Home.
Currently we have 7 students of careers such as Marketing, Industrial Safety Engineering and Occupational Hygiene, among others. Thanks to the agreement signed in 2019 between the Fundación Proyecto Unión and Unihorizonte, an institution of higher education with more than 30 years of experience, the doors have been opened to the professional practice and social projection of young students who come with the intention of serving and end up transforming the lives of children.
Interaction with children suffering from complex diseases, who live at home, has been an opportunity for volunteers to learn about a reality that deserves the full attention and commitment of society. Thanks to Unihorizonte for opening this space for the personal and professional growth of its students.
