In order to improve the oral health conditions of children, adolescents and adults with disabilities and / or systemic conditions of Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia, professionals and volunteers from the Faculty of Dentistry of U. del Bosque, led by Dr. Rocio Barbosa, held in recent days a great day of dental care.
The main actions focused on early detection, protection and prevention of oral disease. Hygiene and care in people with systemic conditions and / or disability conditions, is essential to improve their quality of life, therefore, this day was planned in advance, selecting patients, based on the diagnosis and experience of the professional practice teams of the university, hand in hand with the nursing team of the home.
We are grateful for the high commitment of the University that was in charge of the donation of the supplies and the sterilization service, to the dedication of the work team, as well as the great contribution, left to the institution, represented in an oral care guide, where the supplies, techniques and brushing schedules are specified, which will undoubtedly impact the health and well-being of the children.
