Preparations for this great celebration were being made with due anticipation, involving all the staff of the house, caregivers, volunteers, practitioners and the whole large Project Union community, who joined together to become children again, with great enthusiasm, giving their time, creativity and love. They managed to ensure that all the small beneficiaries of the foundation enjoyed an unforgettable party.
Joy was the common denominator for the headquarters of the Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia, as well as for Casa de Ángeles in Tocancipá. Today, from very early on, all the members of the Santa Rita Home came to disguise and make up the children, then they prepared the big parade of comparsas, with original designs made by themselves and volunteers who decorated the children’s wheelchairs. The participants won praise and applause from all, and also enjoyed a beautiful bubble show, donated by our donor angel Paola Mainero, who also joined this great party with some delicious crepes and desserts to bring the sweet touch to the day.
Meanwhile, at Casa de Ángeles, internal and external patients with their daddies enjoyed a morning with the characters of Alice in Wonderland, in which the officials of this headquarters participated in the company of our sister, the Dharma Foundation, who was the special guest. Undoubtedly there was no lack of laughter and dancing, as well as the participation of a very particular entertainer who impressed all the attendees. Thanks to the commitment of the work team, it was possible to integrate a group of young people to “Juventud Tocancipá” who accompanied this great day through the development of the dynamics, their participation motivated them to continue this work at the headquarters on special dates.
It was an unforgettable morning, full of colour, smiles, music, but above all it was a great example of inclusion that made it possible for many children, with complex diseases, to leave their room and their therapies to become the protagonists of this unforgettable party.
