One of the greatest satisfactions of the students who do their professional practice at the Santa Rita de Cascia Home of the Fundación Proyecto Unión, is not only to become aware as a human being and to put their knowledge into practice during the development of the practice, but also to be able to leave a mark on the house that will benefit the lives of the children. This was the recent case of the students of Physiotherapy at Manuela Beltrán University, who during their practice found the need to leave a sensory gymnasium to stimulate the movement of arms and legs and improve motor skills from the first months of life.
This group of 6 students, under the leadership of their teacher, Tatiana Pérez, knew firsthand the need to prepare the babies of the house to face the different stages of their development and carried out this great initiative to build with their resources this beautiful gym. Colors, fabrics, different textures, as well as hanging toys, were key elements to make children play and strengthen their physical and mental development.
Thanks to these and several groups of UMB practitioners who pass through our institution, for the donations they make, leaving a mark that strengthens the bonds of friendship, opportunities for play and fun, so that our children have more and better opportunities for growth.
