To all those people who one day decided to put into action their desire to serve the vulnerable children and grandparents of the Fundación Proyecto Unión, we wanted to pay a heartfelt homage to them on Saturday, December 4th at the Santa Rita de Cascia Home, on the occasion of Volunteer Day. Every day our organization grows and our mission is strengthened thanks to the support of more than a hundred volunteer angels who are now part of the “Volunteers in Action are changing the world” team.
Entire families, made up of dads, moms, grandmothers, uncles, nephews and children, professionals of various specialties, such as doctors, psychologists, therapists, dentists, children, young people, college and university students at national and international level, friends, allies, companies through their corporate volunteerism, etc. arrive every day virtually and face to face to different locations of our foundation, with the sole purpose of contributing their time voluntarily and carrying out actions that translate into solidarity and selfless service to others.
It was a very special day, the words of our director, Fernando Quintero, acknowledging the selfless work of our volunteer angels, exalting beautiful life stories that moved all those present, the awarding of diplomas, pins for our volunteer leaders, the gifts, the intervention of Pepa and her violin, Darleen Colón and her music, the letter written by The children for them and being able to share the culinary delights typical of Christmas, were just a small gesture of gratitude for all that it means to be a volunteer with the fundación Proyecto Union.
Thank you to all those who made it possible that this event reflect the affection, appreciation and admiration we have for our volunteer angels, our special guests, our donors, but above all our volunteers, for pointing out the path that motivates us to continue to work to restore hope to vulnerable human beings.
