“Umbrella Organization was born out of the need to help vulnerable children. The founders, Tiffany Franco and Andre Mendez, who live in the United States of America found out about Foundación Proyecto Unión. Then they decided to give life to their desire to help by collecting resources brought to us through Andrea Vargas and Mauricio Valencia, Tiffany’s parents, as a generous donation.
Andrea and Mauricio came to visit Colombia. They arrived at the Foundation wearing a T-shirt of the Umbrella Organization thus becoming volunteer angels, as they devoted time and gave their love to the children living at Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia, through reading stories and other recreational activities.
Food is one of the basic needs of the 40 children who live at this nursing home. Therefore, the meat and food we received as a donation greatly contribute to fulfilling our mission.
Helping is easy: thank you, Tiffany and Andre for leading this initiative, supported by family and friends. You showed us that no matter where you are, there is always a reason to help and transform lives.”
