Life constantly surprises us showing us the path we have to follow and the imprint we leave on the world, even if it has not been our intention and of course on some occasions we are a very important token in this great game called life.
This is how we saw the life of Juan Andrés Luengas Lugo, a 2-year-old child born of the love of his parents Maria Camila Lugo and Martin Luengas, who knew the true meaning of love through their young child and whom life surprised with a painful event that would later become a process of faith and hope. John Andrew went to heaven leaving sad hearts that during the mourning process were gaining strength through people and messages that would turn that pain into a reason to honor the short life of this angel who guides them every day from their new home, in heaven.
It is inevitable to describe the pain of a mother losing her son, but the strength that Maria Camila has is to be admired, even in the midst of the sadness she wanted to bring the story of Juan Andrés to many homes through the project “Mi Ángel” which consisted of a special edition of candles worth $60,000 in which the total proceeds from this sale would go to the Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia, the home of 62 children with difficult diseases whose parents have not been able to take care of for different reasons. A large team gets up every day to give back hope to these children.
On August 1st, the story and light of Juan Andrés reached many homes who wanted to join this beautiful project with this special purpose, through a ritual of light, the participation of different artists and of course the union of many families who also honored the lives of many loved ones, as well as that of little Juan Andrés.
This purposeful project touched many homes and people who have become multipliers of faith, love and courage; the light of Juan Andrés will continue to illuminate the lives of his parents, whom we welcome with open arms and express our gratitude for being an instrument of hope and solidarity.
Juan Andrés has left a legacy to our children, but above all an education, showing us that we must leave a mark on the world and regardless our age, we must live LIFE WITH A PURPOSE.
