With the purpose of strengthening comprehensive care for early childhood, our “Day Care Center” program, which began its work on February 11 with only one child, already has 22 beneficiaries and 5 professionals who are responsible for their care and attention.
What began as a pilot test, with the welfare of the families in mind, on the part of the Jaime Duque Park and Proyecto Unión foundations, has become a solid program that already has the installed capacity to offer the care of the children, in the hands of professionals, while their parents work.
Activities such as putting puzzles together, painting, playing in the park, visiting the ecopark, cinema, ball pool and playing basketball were the favorites of Juan José, Santiago, Nicolás, Juan Manuel and Tiffany. The interdisciplinary team of professionals who are in charge of the children, called the managers of hope, is made up of a social worker, a physiotherapist and two graduates in child pedagogy. They assumed this great responsibility with the commitment and affection that is required to achieve this important task.
Thanks to all those who have made it possible that every weekend more and more children find happiness in our headquarters “Casa de los Angeles”, in Tocancipá, sharing with new friends, under the leadership of our managers of hope, while we give peace of mind to their parents, during their working hours.
