It is never too late to fulfill your dreams and although her life seemed to be resolved, Esperanza Mejía, a 68 year old professional dancer and theater teacher, retired and who was a teacher for many years at the Antonio Nariño University and the U. Distrital, arrived as a nursing intern at the Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia.
Esperanza always had a clear vocation for service and when she was young she applied three times to study nursing, but did not succeed. Life took her to teaching, however, during her retirement, the circumstances of the pandemic affected her sleep and the specialists recommended her to do something during the day that would motivate her, so she decided to apply for the fourth time to study nursing at Campo Alto, where she is currently in her fourth semester.
She is very happy to be able to share her knowledge and take care of the children at home. Her future is clear to her, she wants to specialize in vaccination and contribute her vocation to the children of our country. Esperanza is an example of life that teaches us that it is never too late to fulfill those dreams that transform lives.
