“We are humbled to rock and make little “David” fall asleep in his new hammock.
David is a six-month-old baby from the Embera indigenous community who arrived as beneficiary to our organization. Our mission is to make him feel at home.
As of today, there are 11 children and youngsters from different indigenous communities living at our nursing home. Preserving their identity, customs and spaces is an essential part of our mission. Our team of professionals and caregivers strive to strengthen the relationship with each child every day.
Respecting and learning about different cultures is part of the inclusion process. This does not only allows us to strengthen bonds and improve the communication processes with each child, but also, having children from different communities under the same roof fills us with joy and satisfaction as we have proven that it is possible to coexist with and integrate these children”.
