One of the characteristics that identifies the ladies volunteers of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is their desire to serve the most needy with their hearts. They are among the main benefactors of the programs “Comedor María es mi Madre” and “Casa de la Esperanza” that the Proyecto Unión Foundation leads for the benefit of elderly street dwellers.
This important association has been supporting us for several years through food donations and building repairs, in order to improve the living conditions of the elderly.
Therefore, in order to close the year of donations and the opening of the Christmas season in our foundation, last Friday, November 18, several members of the (OPS) visited the dining room facilities with the purpose of bringing a suckling pig that they shared with the elderly, in addition they gave them a coat that will cover them from the cold of the capital.
The elderly beneficiaries of the foundation are a source of inspiration that drives volunteers, friends and families to share their kindness to return hope, that is why we thank the volunteer ladies for continuing to be an example of love and demonstrate their commitment that for years they have been giving to the needy.
