For many years now, elderly street residents, beneficiaries of the Fundación Proyecto Unión, have been receiving help from the ladies volunteers of OPS and this year, despite the circumstances of the pandemic, it was no exception, they showed off to attend the grandparents with a Christmas lunch.
On this occasion, the custard, accompanied by a donut, gifts and a large suckling pig were the ingredients that opened the time of sharing, to celebrate Christmas to more than a hundred grandparents who attend daily the Maria es mi Madre dining room, located in the center of the capital. The Christmas spirit and feelings of gratitude were felt in each of those present who expressed their joy with phrases such as: “May God bless you for bringing that little snack we so need, may you never stop being generous.”
Thank you to the ladies of OPS for their ongoing contribution to the well-being of the elderly population, who deserve all the attention and affection of our society.
