Today was a different day for Edith Álvarez and José Luis Pinzón, parents of Juan José, who managed to leave their 12-year-old son in the care of volunteer professionals, while they quietly attend their work at Jaime Duque Park.

This opportunity has been offered for several years at our headquarters in Tocancipá, thanks to the Comprehensive Early Childhood Care Program, led by the Fundación Proyecto Unión in partnership with the Fundación Parque Jaime Duque.

As of today, the Child Care Day Centre makes it possible for more families to stay together so less children end up abandoned because of the need of their parents to meet their basic needs and obligations.

Today Juan José enjoyed recreational activities, reading stories, in large spaces, surrounded by nature and specialized rooms for music, sensory, etc.

Like Juan José, little Dylan and Daniel are part of this important inclusive program that will transform the lives of hundreds of families in the region.
