The Santa Rita de Cascia Home was filled with light and joy this morning, when 12 children received the sacrament of Baptism for the first time in their lives and 10 of them received their First Communion as a symbol of the beginning of Christian life. His godparents, all members of the great Project Union family, were prepared to accompany their godchildren on this special day.
This important event takes place every year, providing the opportunity for many children with complex diseases, who do not have their families, to receive God into their lives. On this occasion we have the support of our team of volunteer angels and donors, who not only join us with their warm presence, but also took care of the decoration, the cake, the desserts, the music show, the paella and even the choir.
On the other hand, Father Yesid Durán and the spiritual advisor William Frank of the Hospital San Ignacio accompanied us, who with their sensitivity and leadership made this a special ceremony that touched the hearts of all those present. In this way, the link that has united the Santa Rita de Cascia Foundation and Proyecto Unión Foundation for years allows us to use differences as an opportunity for integration and inclusive social development, achieving an impact on the lives of all the beneficiary children.
