More than a hundred families from Banco Santander visited the Casa de los Ángeles headquarters of the Fundación Proyecto Unión, in the municipality of Tocancipá, with the sole aim of sowing hope for the sick children of our country through the planting of 150 trees that are part of the Forest of Solidarity.
The social and environmental responsibility of the Bank’s members has been reflected in high-impact activities such as the “Our Aid Makes a Difference” campaign in times of pandemic, which benefited children and grandparents, as well as the celebration of the birthdays of the children of the Santa Rita de Cascia Home last month and this time with a significant planting in this place, known as the “Solidarity forest. ” This place was named to pay tribute to all those who decided to put into action their desire to help build a new home for hundreds of children suffering from serious diseases in our country.
The planting was carried out with the Ecopark Sábana del Parque Jaime Duque, our ally who was in charge of leading this important activity and made a tour of the wetlands and the nurse-pond, strengthening environmental awareness among those present, as part of their ecological reforestation process. The contact with nature for adults and children was an unforgettable experience that not only left a green footprint for the planet, but also a footprint of solidarity with the children of our country who require timely and quality care to cope with their diseases.
