Celebrating the day of volunteerism within companies is a great opportunity to give and receive and that was the task carried out, in recent days, by the Amadeus Colombia family, at the Santa Rita de Cascia Home of the Fundación Proyecto Unión. Every year on Volunteer Day, the committee in charge chooses initiatives, projects or foundations and on this occasion they decided to put their desire to help into action, providing donations to meet the main needs of the beneficiary children. They organized the celebration of the month’s birthdays and participated in the Halloween party.
The 200 employees of Amadeus, a technology leader in the tourism industry worldwide, joined together to contribute on this day, making donations in two of the areas considered the most important, food and toiletries, said Stive Beltrán. This volunteer, who works in the area of quality assurance, came along with his team of 13 other volunteers, representing the whole team, to give their best, with will and love, they gave their time to make this an unforgettable day for the children.
For the volunteer Natali Polanía, from the area of human resources, it was a very gratifying experience: “We came with an immense heart and we know it will be twice as big, we feel happy and love for this type of event, which we have been doing for several years, it is a mutual learning, we will share this experience with our families and friends who will most certainly also be here.”
