“With the purpose of celebrating the joy of Christmas with the elderly beneficiaries of the Proyecto Unión Foundation, a group of young volunteers from the Universidad de los Andes, under the leadership of Dr. Carlos Ignacio Orjuela organized in recent days a breakfast in the facilities of the Comedor María es mi Madre.
This is not the first activity carried out by this great team of volunteer angels, who during this year have made some days of medical care to this population and on this occasion, apart from donating a delicious breakfast and attending some patients, decided to share their time, giving the grandparents the opportunity to tell their stories, smile, feel important to someone and remember their best years of life.
One of the most important aspects of Christmas is to be able to share and what better way to do it than with those people who need it most, so this time we want to thank this valuable group of volunteers for this great gesture of giving hope and sharing an unforgettable morning with more than a hundred grandparents”.
