The Los Angeles Life Center received last Wednesday 30 Sincosoft employees who decided to put into action their desire to help through corporate volunteering. Thereby they contribute to the social development of our society, under the framework of corporate social responsibility, an example of collaboration, solidarity and commitment that develops social and environmental awareness, generating positive changes to achieve a better world for all.
Andrés Soler, Director of the Permaculture process of the Jaime Duque Park Foundation, together with Juan David Marín, Social Manager of the Union Project Foundation, received the volunteers very early in the morning. The tour began at the “Actions for Our Planet” attraction, located in the Sabana Ecopark Nature Reserve, where they learned about the negative impacts of our daily life and how we can minimize them with small actions.
At the end of this tour, everyone got down to work in the garden of the Life Center, where they planted different vegetables such as cilantro, lettuce, broccoli, spinach and others; learning about healthy lifestyle practices and responsible consumption was the priority of this activity where children and adults participated actively.
Thanks to the commitment of each member of the Sincosoft volunteers, in three months the beneficiary families of the Foundation will be collecting the harvest to take from the garden to the table some delicious vegetables from the garden to the table for their well-being.
