The Casa de los Ángeles program bids farewell to another family to whom it provided housing, food and company for nearly a year. Daniel is a 14 year old boy who came to the capital, from Cúcuta, accompanied by his mother Leidy Serrano to seek help and carry out a renal treatment and controls to treat his cancer. After a long stay away from home, Daniel said goodbye thanking all the Proyecto Union family for opening the doors of this home, his mom, his brother and him, who every day enjoyed their time at home playing in the park, as well as the spaces for reading and computers.
Leidy, a super mom dedicated 100% to the care of her children said: “the experience was very nice, what we liked the most was the wonderful space of the house surrounded by the nature of the Sabana Ecopark to go for a walk in the middle of trees and fresh air. We got along well with many companions and I am very grateful for all the hospitality with which they received us in the foundation, the support was not only to have the child in treatment, but they also received my 4 year old son to keep the family together.
Thanks to the support of our donor angels, this program has the capacity to receive 25 families from remote regions and scarce resources that require a home away from home. Just like Daniel’s family, hundreds of families have passed through this home that will always be a great relief for many children and their protective angels, their mothers.
