Lorena Peña, Adrian Muñoz y Mauricio Muñoz.

Being parents poses a challenge, on the one hand, you have to nurture your children emotionally and on the other hand, help them to develop in the heart of society, that essence of life is the raison d’être of parents.

Lorena Peña and her husband Mauricio Muñoz are no exception, their children Adrián and Mariana received during their upbringing a deep loving potential and a life with purpose. “I am convinced that Mariana came to this world to leave us a very great legacy,” said Lorena, who tells us how the life of her little girl taught them great life lessons, Mariana was a disabled girl who for 13 years showed her parents and brother, how to convert the light they reflected in actions of love.

From heaven, her little girl became the guide for her mother to know the Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia, the home of 62 children who like Mariana, suffer from diseases difficult to manage, who often are invisible to society, that is why from our mission to restore hope to our children, every month we join as a family to celebrate with great joy the lives of children; this time Lorena, Mauricio and Andres wanted to participate in this celebration to pay tribute to their beautiful Mariana, who this year, would be celebrating her 15th birthday.

In our daily lives we do not stop to appreciate the essence of life that is the reason for the existence of children with disabilities, that is why we say to Lorena and her family: As a foundation we offer you our love for having the courage to recapitulate and think differently and have the courage to take on this responsibility to always push their children towards the best, despite all opposition.

Thank you for making us part of your life story and sharing with us this legacy, we are certain that Mariana from heaven is the bearer of something that is still hard for us to understand: the power of love.
