As is customary, when the end of the month approaches, the celebration of the birthdays of the children of the Hogar Santa Rita de Cascia is prepared with great fanfare and on this occasion, a group of volunteers from Banco Santander, arrived in order to impact the hearts of the 62 beneficiary children of the house. In addition, the visit was used to thank them and receive in person the check for the monies collected by the bank within the framework of the “Our help makes a difference” campaign.
The solidarity and the desire to help of the Bank’s collaborators was expressed through the donation of a day’s salary, a value that was doubled by the Bank, giving rise to a large contribution that was used for the purchase of vital elements for the health and well-being of minors, as well as for the construction of the Hogar Amparo de Ángeles. This home is built on land donated by the Jaime Duque Park in Tocancipá and will be a refuge that will house more than 100 children with complex diseases in our country.
Marta Woodcock, Executive President, Catalina Suarez, HR Manager, Estefanía Medina, Communications Deputy Manager and Lina Sepúlveda, Designer, Bank representatives, met last Friday at the home’s facilities to share their love and friendship with the children of home. Music and joy filled the different spaces of the house, while the children enjoyed the cake, the donations and the company of our donor angels, who due to the pandemic had postponed the activity. Thanks to the directors and collaborators of Banco Santander for always being present in the hearts of our children.
